Prati Shirdi Shirgaon

Situated in Shirgaon near Pune in Maharashtra, Prati Shirdi is a replica of the Sri Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi that was built by Mr. Prakash Deole in the year 2003. Visited by a lot of devotees, pilgrims and tourists, all through the year, all the temple aartis and poojas are scheduled and held at the same time as the ones in Shirdi. Enshrined by a beautiful idol of Sri Sai Baba, even the idol is also the same as the one in Shirdi.

Prati Shirdi houses the Dwarkamai mosque, the Gurusthan shrine and the Chavadi shrine. In addition to that, there is a gorgeous garden in the premises of the temple. There is also a magnificent dining hall that is called Anna Chattralay where the pilgrims and visitors are served Anna Prasad and dinner at a nominal price of INR 10. Food is served between 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM and 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM and kids below the age of 5 years are served food free of cost.

Ayyappa Temple

Ayyappa Temple is located at the Ayyappa Temple Road, Garden City, in Dehu Road Contonement in Pune District of Maharashtra. Dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, the temple was established by Ayyappa Seva Sangam. This temple is on top of a small hill near Dehu Road.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, the reigning deity of the famous Sabarimala in Kerala.

Aadishakti aai Ekvira Devi Temple

The Ekvira Aai Mandir is a Hindu temple located near the Karla Caves near Lonavala in Maharashtra, India. Here, the worship of the goddess Ekvira is carried on right next to the caves, once a center of Buddhism. The temple is a prime spot of worship for the Tribal Coastal Koli People. But along with the Koli (fisherman) folk, Aai Ekvira is worshipped by many communities, especially those belonging to the Agri, CKP Daivadnya Brahmins & somewhat Bhandari and Kunbi caste as their presiding family deity, Kuldaivat.

This temple-complex originally consisted of three alike shrines built in a row all facing west. Of these, the central and the southern shrines are preserved in full and rest of the structures are preserved only on plan and that too brought to light in the clearance work. Maha-mandapa, varsha-mandapa and gopura are situated in front of these three shrines and these three shrines are surrounded by sixteen shrines of additional parivara devatas. Pawna Lake

At a distance of 15 km from Lonavala Railway Station and 10 km from Lohagad Fort, Pawna Lake is an artificial lake formed by water of Pawna dam. Situated towards the outskirts of Lonavala, this lake is one of the top Lonavala tourist places.

Nestled amidst the scenic locales of Kamshet, this lake came into existence after the construction of the Pawna Dam, and now it plays a scenic host for camping, picnics and sightseeing. Pawna Lake is fast gaining popularity among the locals who are looking for a quiet weekend getaway with friends and family.

The lake is surrounded by rich greenery, making it one of the best places to visit in Lonavala. Facilities for row and motor boating are available at this place, which add to its popularity. While enjoying a boat ride on the lake, tourists get magnificent views of three ancient forts- Tikona, Lohagad and Tung.

Tikona Fort

Tikona Fort is a dominant hill fortress of Konkan’s Pawan Maval region. This is Maharashtra’s popular one-day trekking spot. Locally, it is famous by the name Vitandgad. Situated on top of the Tikona peak, this fort has an altitude of 3633 feet from the sea level.

If you take a look at its present-day geography, it resembles a triangle and thus named as Tikona. Large fortifications, seven water tanks filled with crystal clear water, large doorways, and spectacular surrounding views from its bastion sums up the beauty of this place. Sahyadri’s green hillocks are just like cherries on the cake!

Many Maratha dynasties have marked their presence here in the past and also, Tikona Fort was known as the centre for Pauna Mawal’s primary activities. Both types of caves have great significance in Indian history. Besides, there’s a small Trimbakeshwar Mahadev temple inside which revives the spiritual beliefs of the first residents of this fort.

With no wonders, Tikona Fort is blessed with some stunning landscapes attracting heaps of trekking enthusiasts and those who love Mother Nature. The moment you trek to the topmost summit of this fort, you have the liberty to enjoy the panoramic view of the vastly stretched Maval region. Hadshi Temple

The Hadshi temple is spread on 300 acres of land. Many Punekar & Mumbaikar visit this place during Monsoon season. This temple open from Morning 7 am is to Late night 8 pm daily.

To reach Hadshi there are two routes one is from Chandani Chowk to Pirangut to Paud to Hadshi & the other is from the old Pune-Mumbai road, you have to come to Pavana dam road then near Bawana dam take a left turn to reach Hadshi. Hadshi is a total of 47km from Pune. After this keep going straight towards Pavana Dam/Tikona, then you will start seeing signboards.

At a fork after around 15 km, the road to the left will be rich Hadshi Temple. After the arch, there is a short drive up the hill you get to the first temple which is next to the parking and as you cross it and go behind, the beauty of the place hits you.

Khandi Valley

Khandi is located to the north of Pune, which is around 35 kms from Kanhe phata. This place is beautiful and greenery all around, the scenery of the mountains is so delightful with its dense forest.

It is a solo ride from Pune(Kondhwa) to Khandi which is around 78km, you have to take old Pune-Mumbai highway towards Mumbai and take a right turn from Kanhe Phata, then after crossing the railway gate you will reach the base village Khandi surrounded by Thokarwadi dam.
